FAQs

In accordance with our contract with Nielsen, we receive data every four weeks, segmented into weekly intervals.

The VIP-based Brand Health and Distribution dashboards are updated daily. However, there is a delay between the invoiced sale and its appearance in these dashboards. Distributors submit sales data to VIP on varying schedules—some daily, others monthly. After a distributor submits a sale to VIP, it typically takes 3-4 days for the sale to be confirmed in the VIP dataset. Additionally, the process of pulling VIP data into these dashboards adds another day of delay. As a result, for distributors that transmit daily depletion data, you can expect a lag of approximately 4-5 days. It’s important to note that sales data for completed months is generally not final until the first 5-7 days of the following month, and for distributors that transmit monthly data, the lag may be even longer.

Our Brand Health and Distribution dashboards are powered by data from Vermont Information Processing (VIP), sourced primarily from alcohol distributors to reflect sales from distributors to retailers. VIP aggregates, processes, and refines this data, which our team integrates into the Brand Health and Distribution dashboards. This comprehensive data is instrumental in uncovering sales trends, tracking inventory levels, and enhancing distribution strategies.
